Crop Health Labs

For more than 10 years, Plant Sap Analysis has provided growers with unique nutrient data measuring 21 nutrient parameters for testing that enables a grower to forecast periods of nutrient deficiency. The tool improves efficiency and production and is available to farmers, crop advisors, input providers and agriculture researchers. Crop Health Labs’ proprietary Plant Sap Analysis is the industry’s most comprehensive sap analysis report available conducted in a lab setting.

Our mission is to remove barriers to nutrient success and empower growers with data. We are developing a sap analysis laboratory in the US to increase accessibility to emerging crop management technologies.

Our Mission

Philippe van den Bossche

Owner of CHL

Philippe van den Bossche is chairman and owner of CHL, a leading crop nutrition consulting company located in Bellville, Ohio. An impact entrepreneur and investor, Philippe has dedicated his career to the issue of global food security.

Philippe seeks to positively impact the quantity, quality, and nutrient density of food grown worldwide. Through his world travels and work in international development, he has cultivated a deep understanding of the political, social, environmental and financial issues that affect agricultural practices, and how they impact human health and well-being on a global scale. His goal is to attract like-minded partners, customers, vendors and employees in order to build CHL into a prominent player in the sustainable agriculture, nutrition and food security arena.

Over the past two decades, Philippe has worked with a number of for-profit and nonprofit charitable and humanitarian projects. The nonprofits were aligned with the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals in Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America, the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. His involvement has put him in direct contact with farmers, agronomists, government agencies, and government and private-sector leaders on issues of food security. In addition, Philippe has worked with prominent food security advocates and experts including Dr. Jeffrey Sachs of The Earth Institute and Dr. Paul Farmer of Partners in Health, as well as with major celebrities.

Philippe sits on the board of several for-profit and charitable organizations in Africa, the U.S. and Europe, and is an active advisor to their leadership.
